Hearts of Those You Lead
After watching a congregation go through the rigors of death it came to me like a flashing neon sign. Leaders Who Don’t Know The Hearts of The People Only Lad Themselves! It was like a sign I needed to share.
The leadership of any organization make decisions that will affect each of the people within. That is part of their jobs. The unfortunate part is when the leadership stops asking questions, listening, discerning, before decisions are made. My heart asks, what is the vision and mission of the organization? Are decisions made upon their criteria?
As I see leadership not taught, not followed, and the death of organizations because of the tight held information and reasons why are not shared ignored, I ask again. What is the real vision and mission of the organization.
Is there any way to slow this death toll doll and bring it to a halt? YES!!
#1. Teach Leadership as a personal part of the organization. People leading themselves first and serving other next.
#2. Leadership happens daily, not in a day. Ongoing learning must take place. It must become an intentional part of the individual as well as the organization.

#3. Share everything with all. Knowledge, direction, instruction, inquire of those whom the decision will affect, and then discern before any decision is final.
#4. Does everyone know and buy into the Vision and Mission? Did they have a part in its making? If so, are decisions put to the test of the Vision and Mission? Trust is built or lost in this step.
#5. Practice these things daily.
